Calling all Palmers! To Our Exhibitors, As part of our Mystic Seaport 20th Anniversary Marine Engine Exposition, we would like to host a Focused Palmer Brothers Engine Exhibit. Over the preceding 19 years, there have been 91 different Palmer engines exhibited at this show. We have never had less than 10 in a single year, and the first Palmer ever built has been on exhibit here at the show 15 times. To assist us in this endeavor, we are asking everyone who has a Palmer to bring it to this year’s Antique Marine Engine Expo on August 20th-21st, 2011. If, the response is as large we anticipate we will setup a special area devoted to the display of these historic Palmer Brothers engines. Running, not running, pretty or not, all Palmers are welcome! If you have any history or information of special significance about your Palmer engines, please be sure to add it to the registration form. We will try to add this information to the display card at the show. Feel free to bring your own display cards if they contain any supplementary information. Whenever possible, please include the engine serial number. Thank you if you have already registered your Palmers. If you have registered engines for the show and did not include all your Palmer(s), please fill out an additional registration form for each additional Palmer you plan to exhibit (rego. form is included) and send it to: Antique Marine Engine Expo Mystic Seaport PO Box 6000 Mystic, CT 06355 Additional registration forms are available on the Mystic Seaport web site: http://www.mysticseaport.org. First click on Upcoming Events, then on AUG. Next, select Antique Marine Engine Show, and finally, Registration Form. A printable registration form will appear. Thank you. For further information or questions, please contact Scott Noseworthy at: [email protected]. Also, please feel free to pass this along to anyone else you know that owns a Palmer engine. We look forward to seeing you and your Palmer. Sincerely, Scott Noseworthy Engine Collections Manager |
