Dick, J.B., John, Dickie, Bob, and whomever else would be interested, I am curious about the event schedule and if it would be feasable to have dinner Friday night or bring breakfast for people Saturday.

I will have limited time at the show on Sat. and want to catch up with you all. Would any of you be able or interested if I set it up?

Dick, what restaurants would you suggest if I tried to make this happen?

A Friday afternoon discussion would be best. Then the decision could be made as to dinner Friday or breakfast for sat. I am sure something will easily fall into place. Like Mr Gibbens says it will just happen
Just my 2 cents worth

James, There is an evening BBQ at the Lighthouse on Sat. $15.00 and they serve a fabulous NC (although they welcome donations) breakfast in the boat building shop on Sunday morning. Looking forward to your joining us at those events as well as attending the show. Basically all the visitors have left by evening and its the antique boat and engine "nuts" left so come and enjoy!!! Just hope we get good weather. You might also note my new e-mail address.

Stoney's on the Island is very good. By Friday night I am ready for just sitting and watching the world go by. A half cup of coffee will get me going Sat. morning. Will put it down and find it three hours later probably with a wasp swimming it. Hope you can rearrange you sked for Sat/Sunday. Thanks for the good thoughts. Dick and Barbara.

Hello All,

If it makes a difference, the JOHN ARTHUR will be under the light house Thursday evening. The crew and I invite all who are willing and able to join us again this year as we celebrate 5 years home with the tug. I will host a dinner of grill food (hot dogs, steaks, chicken, hamburgers), and some cold salads. Please join us on the fantail!!

Wow!!! Looking forward to seeing your gang George. Wish we could get there Thursday but my slaves don't appear until late Thursday and I don't dare let them leave here until the engines are all loaded and we are ready to roll. I will dangle your wonderful invite in front of them to see if it speeds up the process.

Ernie, I put a CD copy of all the pictures I took in the mail to you yesterday. I must admit I didn't get one picture of Bob and John's display. Just did not get around to it. Hope Bob has gotten them. They had a great display.
Despite the Rain on Friday we lucked out. It was a great show and some nice engines truned up. JB, Keith Billet had a near mint Fisherman like yours and David Deardorf Had a nice Toquet missing a few parts. Will have to dig my junker out and see if I can fill in his missing peices. Ernie and I spotted a couple he doesn't have so there is some hope. Hope to see you all at Mystic

The dinner on Friday night on the John Arthur was outstanding. the rain held off and it could not have been better. Will send Andrew a photo of the John Arthur leaving Sunday at about 6:30AM
That tug is a jewel and it its owners are jewels in any man or woman's book. Just nice folks. I wouldn't want them to take the John Arthur up to Mystic after what happened later to the Larinda. What a sad ending to Larry's years of work for that beautiful vessel. Would not want a similar fate for the John Arthur. All I can say is this hobby is populated by incredible people all with a desire to help others retrieve and perserve the past for the next generation. We missed some of the stalwarts from years past such as Richard and Sue Durgee and Sonney Reinkin to name a couple. Hope they make the next show.
Miro Forest brought a fascinating CD regarding early boat builders in Canada. what beautiful work they turned out and they didn't have computers or a lot of hand power tools. It was great to see RECIPROCA under steam back in the basin this year. A beatiful vessel, Kelley!!
The Sunday breakfast was outstanding and the lady volenteers who put it on deserve a lot of praise.
