Is anyone interested in building some small icons for use on the discussion board topics page?

You will notice that I have changed the default icon to: default

But I would like to change each of the topics to a logo that represents the engine manufacturer, such as:
Acadia acadia
Gray gray
Palmer palmer

It's just for fun and to make the topics page look better. If anyone wants to do it you let me know or post below. It's not hard but you have to use a photo editor to create a small gif file. The image must be exactly 24 x 24 pixels. And it works best to use a something square or a square portion of a logo or letterhead. If you try to have text it is generally illegible at that small size.

If you look at the board topics page at marineengine.com you will see that I have done it with the modern manufacturers.

If anyone is interested in try some they should probably post below and say which mfg's they are going to do so we don't get a duplication of effort.

Thanks.
Andrew

Ernie,

That's quick work, but they are hard to recognize...

Generally a photo of the engine doesn't work as well as using a part of the logo, or something representative of the company name.

Like with Palmer using the flag, or the acadia maple leaf...

24 x 24 is very small so it has to stand out... it's not easy...

Richard,

Those are hard to read.

It usually doesn't work to condense a full logo or words of text. You usually have to take an element of the logo or a single letter of the logo and work with that. The Kermath one was good.

See the link to the MarineEngine board above and you will see what I mean.

A friend sent me some Lathrop stuff. I found this little anchor just inside the cover on some of their literature

The Atlantics from Lunenburg,NS had a distinct flywheel with heart shaped holes.
