Is anyone having occasional trouble accessing this site? We have at least one regular user who is getting an error message when he tries to get on the site.
The message he gets is:
quote:Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /cgi-bin/discus/search.cgi on this server.
He has to "clear cookies" in order to be able to access the site (if you don't know what that means, don't worry about it).
I am trying to figure out why this is happening for him and would appreciate finding out if anyone else is experiencing the same problem.

I have seen it a few times, but im so used to fighting with this computer, I just back out do a disk clean, and dump my history and try again.
I believe there is a hidden agenda of the X's and O's to drive me nuts.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm not sure why that happens. Seems to be related to some of the blocking we put in place to prevent spammers from posting here.
There is a new version of this board that should be available within a week or two which I will install when it becomes available (you guys won't see any difference). It has stronger behind the scenes spam protection which should allow me to remove some of the other filters that are now in place.

Mr. Andrew, I too have had this happen a lot lately. I simply keep trying to get in and it goes through after awhile. |
