adriaticsun,

Thanks. I will try top post the traffic results more regularly, maybe make a page with with a graph to show monthly results.

Activity on the site seems to have increased with the new format of the discussion board.

I'd like to add my thanks and congrats to you, Andrew, for a job that is being very well done - actually quite rare these days in the new millenium.

Hear, Hear, Well done. This is a landmark site that will go on long after we are dust. At least some of us will be dust but it is great to have been part of the beginning of this great medium. Andrew you deserve every accolade in the book.

Thank you, but no need to post thanks.

Technology makes it easy and you guys provide all the content. This discussion board format seems to work well and I am glad that more people are getting familiar with the features.

As I mentioned somewhere here a few months ago I can produce a CD archive of this board that will run on any computer just like this board (except it won't be online and won't accept new postings). It will be all the info contained here up to the point that the CD is made. Dick, should I make one for the Calvert Musuem? Any other museums that might want it for their archives? We could provide annual or semi-annual updates.

Yes, and I am sure Paul Opecko (sp) at the Blount Library at Mystic Seaport would like very much to get copies. The Mariners museum Newport News, library comes to mind also. Such CDs would give easy/fast access to a wealth of information that could never be collected by any individual over a life time. I wonder if any our our Canadian and Aussie friends might like copies sent to their marine museums? I like to spread this kind of material around as it is so easy for a fire or flood to destroy paper and photographic records and as long as one CD survives the record can be recovered.

I can only concur with the others Andrew. I post on another site and i am afraid it has become very personal and somewhat abusive ......non of that on our site, just good natured co-operation and help.
