A number of people have asked in the past about whether I am "backing up" the board in order to save this information in the event of a problem. The answer is yes, I have been... but until now there was no good way to "use" the data from this board except online in this format.
Well, the new version that we are now using apparently has a way for me to backup the data on a CD in a format that can be viewed from any computer, "offline". I haven't tried it yet, but it should be a great feature that would allow me to mail a CD to a museum or organization to archive the data and easily view it at any time in the future.
The board look and function would be the same as if you were viewing it here, online, but it wouldn't accept new posts.
I'll try it soon and report back on it here. |
