New registration requirements

Author Message   Andrew Menkart Moderator Username: andrew Post Number: 1139 Registered: 11-2001 Posted on Sunday, December 11, 2011 - 12:53 pm:        Hello all, We have recently had a rash of spammers posting junk on the board so I have put in place a new requirement for new registrations to require people to fill in the letters shown in an image. In the web world they call it CAPTCHA. Anyone who is already registered shouldn't see it at all, but hopefully it will make sure that new registrations are "people" instead of an automated process designed to join and post spam. The CAPTCHA screen looks like the following (except of course the characters will be different each time). Hope this helps. Thanks. Andrew   J.B.
