Tou might try Paul Dodington 705-765-5037. He has a good selection of parts and has restored a number of engines. But please also understand that's how he makes a living so don't expect freebies. miro |

Apparently Coventry Victor still exists, at least to some degree, sell parts, and have a web site: http://www.coventryvictor.free-online.co.uk/ Hope this helps Alan Muller |

Does anyone know if Coventry Victor, 14 Node Close, Ryde, Isle Of Wight, PO33 3HL, UK are still active. I have visied their web site and posted email messages to [email protected] and telephoned several times a day at various times without any answer. I need a manual for a WD3 marine engine. |

To John T.Bracey. Hi John. Yes Coventry Victor are still there on the Isle of Wight. I wrote to them snail mail and enclosed a stamped addressed envelope, and got a reply from Mr Ellison who apparently bought up everything to do with CV some years ago. He also gave me another contact Chris Callow on 01608 641076 (UK number)who has examples of every CV engine ever made!!You could also try semidiesel.com. They dont actually list a WD3 manual but may know where to get one ( they have WD1 and 2 ). Good luck anyway. I have a Cub twin...join the club!! |

I have a Coventry Victor MW2 in parts in a box. I want to check the correct Mag to sprocket coupling. A parts drawing or book would be helpful if I could locate one. |

Have cylinders and pistons for a Coventry Victor Vixen two cylinder water cooled diesel inboard. Also service and operating manual. The rest of the engine was supposed to be on Saltspring Island. Come and get 'em if you've got the rest! |

As far as i know there is no info out there on the serial numbers for the CV's, the MW2 will be the 340cc 8 hp water cooled job, also known as the Midget, other than the manuals that give some information. I have not seen anything about manufacturing date's. |

If I could find the manual coolbikers I'd tell you, but instead, why don't you call the people mentioned earlier in the thread, who sell parts for these engines and are familiar with them? Makes sense to me. |

Can anyone tell me the direction of rotation to undo the body thats holds the bob weights on a Coventry Victor single cylinder w/c diesel please Have given it a 'smack' and suspect it is a left handed thread ! Also, how are you supposed to search for 'threads' on this site, can't find the box ! Also, with no headings, how will anyone pick up a thread that is of interest to them ? Is there anyone there ? |

Hi, Looking for a service manual and other spare parts for a vixen HDW which i hope to fit in a boat, also looking for a marine box to fit it, cash waiting. Located in East Yorkshire. would be interested in hearing from anyone who runs one of these engines. (not many around now) The official Cov Victor site seems to be dead. Many thanks, Kieron. |

I have a gearbox from a marine version of the single cylinder w/c diesel. It has been underwater and has 'surface rust' inside. it also has a starter which appears to be rusty but OK. Is anyone interested in these items? |

Possibly in the bilge of the boat to which the engine is fitted? Failing that, take off the filler pipe and take to a vintage car swap meet. There are bound to be plenty of caps for sale and you can try them in the pipe. It's quite likely Coventry Victor used a generic cap from a supplier of that time. If all else fails, take a cast of the threads and have one turned on a lathe. Or consider a bung on a string. |
