Can't seem to locate heavy knock in four cylinder marine engine. Tried isolating each cylinder but cannot figure where the sound is coming from. Do two-cycle engines have common main bearing knocks (seems like since pressure is alway downward on the mains it would be unlikely this is the problem)? Checked all rod bearings and wrist pins. |

Check the coupler to your shaft or transmission |

Often a loose flywheel can be mistaken for internal engine knocks. |
