I have recently bought an old aluminium boat with a Ducati Diesel single cylinder engine with gearbox, I have found out that these were built in the early 60,s and some were possibly life boats. The boat looks to be around that time also ,it has what looks to be the original wooden rudder as well in fairly good condition. would it be possible that it could be an original life boat and if so what would it be worth if i were deciding to sell it? |

Check the block casting for casting dates.I believe the engine I have may been a lifeboat motor, with no hope of repair parts. Air-cooled/oil cooled, hurth gearbox.Aft mounted bosch electric starter.Paul |
