Seems this engine is falling apart on many fronts. Now the water pump needs rebuilt according to my mechanic. It has a severe leak problem. He claims he cant find a rebuilt one, and will need to rebuild it the hard way. Does anyone make rebuild "kits", rebuild pumps, or does the pump need to be be rebuilt the hard way? Thanks, again as always Bob |

Bob, I dunno about this mechanic. A water pump is pretty basic stuff. Eddie |

What version of the P-60 water pump you are looking for? I may be able to find a correct used replacement. Is it the bearings or just the rubber impeller that has gone? |

Richard, According to my mechanic the pump is "shot" in that it is leaking badly. I have no idea if this is a seal problem, an impeller problem, or just what he means by shot. I have not seen it leak as of yet..been too busy chasing other goblins in this thing lately. The pump appears to me ot be right "behind" the disrributor drive mechanism..an extension of it actually. I see signs of green corrosion, but no actaul leakage ....mechanic claims it leaks when it runs..I cant get it to run now. Thanks, Bob |
