Hi I just purchased a working Chrysler flat-head six for a 1950 SeaBird restoration project. There is no ID tag on the engine . The head is identified as "B173" with a following number 01327337. The block has a "K29 " with a following number "1402529" These may only be casting numbers. Can anyone help me identify this engine. It has been modified. I see a Delco alternator , but the starter is a six volt unit with some kind of actuating lever . I'm replacing a seized Buchanan four with the Chrysler Any advice would be greatly appreciated Harry |
