I don't know how it was originally, having bought the boat about 6 years ago right after a "remanufactured" engine from Vaness Engineering was installed and I am just now putting it into service. There is no drive on the distributor but there is a plug on the forward port side of the gear that looks likely. Also I will no doubt be looking for a parts source as time goes by. Any info / suggestions appreciated. Thanks, McDust
