Received message on 09-28-2010 from David looking for info on where he might find a two or 3 cylinder antique marine engine suitable for installation in a 21' fantail launch built in 1971. Currently has a Yamaha diesel and David wants a more apropriate engine for this hull. Current prop drive shaft is 1" and has three blade prop. Plenty of apperture for up to almost 25" dia. prop. Will consider an engine in need of a rebuild or one completely rebuilt and ready for installation. Not particularly interested in a single cylinder due to hull shaking aspect. Any reasonable price as long as the engine is in excellent conditon. I told him I could not help him but perhaps one of the members of OME might have just the solution he is looking for. |
