First I would like to thank everone for their help. This was new to me , and I had a lot to learn about old 2-strokes.They sure ain't like new ones. This engine when it came to me was in like new condition, It could not have had much time on it.Except for the cast bronze rod. The big end and the crank journals were in bad shape.According to the rochester info I have (thanks doug morin )this engine should have babbitt on one half of the rod, It had none. It now has babbitt on both cap and rod. Also I hope we improved the way the premix gets to the babbitt. The other mod was to make it self starting. I hope to have the engine complete within a month or so, then off to the painter. If you would like to see it run on you-tube heres the link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IF8wtPFjdxA Thanks again for everyones help
