Is there someone who have any idea about use an modern outboard engine, dismantle it, and use it as an inboard engine? Is it posible. About 60 hp. |

Modern outboards use a 2 to 3 to 1 reduction in the lower unit. If you were to attempt this conversion you would need a gear with a similar reduction, an adapter plate to handle exhust and cooling water, and a splined shaft to match the crankshaft. It could be done but if you have to pay to have it done you could buy an inboard set up. |

OMC used outboard powerheads as "inboards" on some jet powered boats. |
