Attended the Madisonville Wooden Boat Festival this weekend, Keith Dupuy and Jamie Hury were there with their boats as well. This show attracts thousand os people, we gave rides all day long, met nice people and had a great time. I had my newest puchase delivered to me there, a single cylinder St. Lawerence, similar to the first one seen on this site Miro posted.

It has the starter on it, looked kind of bulky when I first saw it several years ago, but after seeing the brochure I started to like it. An electric starter may start to look good in my bopat if I live long enough. When I get time I'll take some pictures. One thing I noticed is this engine has a gasket spark plug, my twin is tapered pipe thread. Does anyone know when they made this change? The engnines in the brochure appear to be pipe thread, Miro, do you have a date on this info?

That soundslike a post-WWII engine to me. I think the pipe thread spark plugs were pre-WWII.
I'll check though to see when they made the change.
