Gord, Did you try using the picture resizing tool at this link? If you still can't get it, send the original picture(s) to me and I will post them here for you. |

Some of the US engines were converted Briggs and Stratton engines, I have also seen Lauson engines used by them, It is important to see the pictures so you model can be ID'ed, as far as B&S engines go I have seen the model NP,B,Z converted but them for water cooled marine use Roger |

Your message mentions a magneto cap. Wisconsin engines usually have an external magneto,I keep having questions as to what you have, please email your pictures direct to me Roger |

Ok I looked at your pictures and you have an air cooled Briggs and Stratton model B, Your magneto looks fine, dress the point so they are clean and make good contact, set them at .020 when you put it back together. I would change the condenser, as they go bad with age. I would clean and reseat the valves while you have it apart. The valve clearances on the old cast iron motors us generally .007 to .009 intake and .014 to .016 exhaust. I have model B brigg's in my collection, but havent found the model you have yet. yell if I can help further Rog |

The model B is a common engine, I see them at many swap meets and on ebay all the time You should be able to buy a engine to part out for $25 to $100 depending on condition, I do not know if new old stock or reproduced coils are available, The first place I would contact is Bob small engine repair at http://www.bser.com or 319-377-3339 They should be able to lead you in the right direction Roger |
