I received the following by email and a picture by snail mail:

Dear Sir,
My name is Joe Cowdry and my home email address is [email protected].
I have a one-cylinder, air-cooled Morse Fairbanks marine engine Type FM-XD 1B7S. It is connected to a Twin Cone Model BM 618 Marine Reverse & Reduction Gear transmission made by L.H. Bennett Machine Works in Seattle, WA. The engine came out of a Poulsbo boat made on Puget Sound sometime in the 1940s.
I would like to get the engine running.
I'd appreciate any information and help you can supply. Thanks. Joe
