Searching for Naptha launch info brought me to a page showing a former naptha hull repowered (in 1902)with a 7Hp two cycle Kipp marine motor built in Ossining (NY I think).Anyone familure with this engine builder? Some one told me they might have seen a Kipp oiler recently. |

Bruce Looked in my data base and no Kipp listed, crossed it with city, no listing either. The only thing close was a KEMP marine eng mfgr that made engs in 1902 they were in Mass ?? Maybe you've discovered a lost Marine eng mfgr ? Couple of years ago I rebuilt the mechanical oiler on my 1920's Hart-Parr tractor- it had a tag on it Madison-Kipp ?? Did you find the serial no. on your Cornwell Eng ? |
