i am posting this for Matt Montague Richard, If you do a search for Clift on this site you will find a 4 HP like the one in the ad that I restored several years ago. My 14 y/o son is working on his 2 cylinder 8 HP Clift now, will post pics when complete. Jim, I to would really like to see pictures of your Grand dads engine. Matt |

This engine was given to my grandpa by a guy who found it in an old shed and was going to haul it to the dump! It looks like it has never seen the salt water before (which is rare for this part of the country), it had a compression leak and when my grandpa looked into it he found a casting flaw between the water jacket and the cylinder. He had it sleaved and he painted the engine when he put it back together. He has never run it. |
