Evan,

Nice looking engine. Maybe you could give us some more info about what you are looking for and what you already know... it would save someone doing research to provide what you might already know.

Also use the search link and the top of this page and search CLAE.

Looking forward to some more info from you. Is it your boat and engine?

hello andrew, this is dads boat and we know nothing about the engine.Yesterday on the water the engine started stalling. The revs would gradually drop, cough, and stall. It started back up straight away but stalled as soon as forward gear was engaged. It made friends with itself after a short time. The engine vibrates and doesnt like to rev. Is
this just the nature of the beast? Anyone have any engine specs/tune/service info. Thanks in advance.

Wow, they are a lot like the australian Simplex 10-12Hp!! Where are you from? Lovely looking condition! Sounds like it's running too rich on the needle valve or air horn plunger stuck shut from wear, or from the float sinking or from dirt in the float valve.? Does it blow black smoke during this problem?
Dont know about the vibration tho, unless you let it run free/ no load & a fraction more than idle opening may do it?!

Hi gregoryan, I am from brisbane but the boat lives at beachmere. I dont remember any exhaust smoke. I will take the boat for a spin and get back to you on this one. And yes the whole boat is in lovley condition.
