The following was sent in by Matt, nice to hear that someone found him from this site...:
quote:Andrew, It has been a while since we talked, things have been busy here in North WET Washington.I have been getting a few things done however. Anyway I got a email from a man three weeks ago or so stating that he had a engine that he wanted to sell, he told me that it was a school built Clift, and asked if I was interested. He told me that he had found some pictures of my Clift on the internet, well the only place that there are pictures of my other engine is on your site. So We made arrangements to meet and the outcome was that I did indeed buy the engine. The shop teacher at Bellingham High in the 50's was a machinist at the Clift plant in the 20's I think, This School built Clift was built prior to 1954 at Bellingham High School by Micky McMurry. The number of these shop builts are some want low maybe 6-8 units, I added the Standard reverse gear, smeared on a little paint and mounted to the skids. If possible would you please post on the site. Thank You, Matt Montague

Thank you Andrew for posting the pictures. It is my plan to in the near future replace the carter carb that is on it with a brass Shebler. My son & I just got this done this last sunday evening after dinner and had it running last night. Need to get the kinks worked out of it and then the new carb goes on. Thanks for a great site.
