Gies Pronounced "Geese" was a quality Detroit gear mfgr that was sold to one of the larger ignition coil mfgrs in this same year 1923.

Richard, thanks for the post with the Gies advertisement. I have a Gies coupled to my St. Lawrence in our launch circa 1909.

Aaron, do you have the wico EK set up on your engine or do you have a timer? I am missing the mag bracket on mine, I am considering putting on a cuno if I can not find one to buy or one to borrow so that I can make one. Any help?

Matt,
If you look to the left of the water pump in the picture, you will see a cog, that is what the magneto has been driven off and the bracket is on the other side of the engine. I will post more pictures over the next couple of days.
