Sat,
I am guessing that you mean a Atlas "Royal" outboard motor manufactured by Gale Manufacturing Products.
This discussion board is for inboards, not outboards... but the 5HP models were made from 1947 to 1956. If you have the model number I could tell you more precisely... but post your outboard related question to the board at MarineEngine.com. They can supply manuals for that motor too, fill in the following form.

I have an old Atlas Royal outboard motor and would like any info I can get, as I plan to put in Musuem Display. The Model # is 12D10A, serial# 402990, Age etc. would be interesting on the display. Thanks Bill Ray Mount Ida, Arkansas |

Bill,
This board is really for "inboards" not "outboards"... but that model number is a 12HP Atlas Royal made by Gale Mfg Products 1951-53. I can supply a service and parts manual if you need them (not an owner's manual), you can order from the old Johnson page, just include this model number and put a not in the comments section that it is an Atlas Royal Gale |

i have a "atlas skipper" 4 cylinder flat head gas motor, has a brass id tag that says; type 's' serial 40132 production ratio 1 to 1 ..mfg.atlas imperial deisel , oakland.ca. can any body help with info about it?? been looking on the web but can only find minimal refs. here and there.... thank for any info anyone can give....... |

I have an old 1948-1949 Gale Products (Atlas Royal) 1.5 HP motor. Mod # 1A5 Serial # 286106 I have no manual. I cleaned up the whole thing and took apart carb, cleaned gas tank and refilled with 30 wt oil & and gas. about 6 ounce per gal. I got it started. AWESOME. I can't get it into slow or fast mode....only idols. Carb screw is at 1.5 to turns out. With no manual what can i trouble shoot. Lines are clean??? help? Thanks a bunch if you know. John B.
