We picked up a couple of little Albin engines last week. One is badged as Ailsa Craig, the other looks to be a standard Albin. Both are generally the same engine, 2 cylinder side-valve, both have gearboxes, one is dynastart and one has a conventional starter motor with separate alternator.
A prop shaft and propellor came with them, both in good condition so we will probably list them on ebay this weekend.
The one that is badged as Ailsa Craig looks to be a running unit and has a small control panel with it. The other looks as though it has been under water and is stuck pretty well, although the gearbox seems OK.
Not sure whether to try and get these running or pass them on through ebay? Petrol engines are a little bit outside my normnal interests! :-))
