im a newbie here today and thanks for allowing me to join. i was told about this website thru word of mouth. today, i came across a collection of antique boat motors at a local garage sale. i got them all and filled my truck. im sure i will have some questions about these and also possibly find a new home for some of them also cause i cant keep them all taking up my limited garage space. anyway, i hope to gain some knowledge with the site and possibly get a few running.

thanks narrabay2. i do use the search function and its a big help. i have to figure out where i can list a few of these engines to sell. is there a special forum to sell these? |

Hello, I'm looking for a little inboard to put in my sailboat. From your first pic, the white motor in the bottom right corner caught my eye. Do you have any info on make, model, and hp of that motor?

While I admire your interest in that antique engine,
I suspect that it would be better for you to have an engine that has a forward/neutral/reverse transmission in your sailboat.
The antique engine would probably run in either direction and you'd have to learn how to reverse on the switch, you might be a bit busy with "sailing stuff" when you are coming into the dock.
So the only thing to answer is . . . . At what speed do you want to hit the dock ? . . . .
. . . just sayin'
