I am doing a light resto on a friends YT (disassemble, media blast, paint, oil seals, check clearances, rings, adjust rod bearing clearance, lap the valves, etc). I noticed how much slop there is the the cuno timer rotor. The shaft is D-shaped and so is the thru hole on the rotor. My own YT is the same way. Has anyone tightened these somehow? I was thinking of machining something. Since it moves by like about 15 degrees, thats a lot of timing variability.
