Got this Dispro yesterday.
I really like the bilge fresh patina and have no intention to clean or polish anything.
It has real good compression
Cleaned out the grease cups and passages
Cleaned and repaired the timer and shutdown switch on the timer handle
Blew out the water jacket with compressed air
Inspected the water pump and check valves
Looked in the carb and decided to leave it alone since it looks brand new inside
Once the humiditity leaves I will start it.

More pics
I even kept that ratty piece of wire that is hooked to the timer.
It would be fun to find a flat bottom skiff about 12 ft long to put it in.
When I was a kid hanging around the boat yards on Long Island sound this was the look of some of the small work boats. Not much to look at but always ran when needed.

They were all over when I was a kid. The last one I had I seem to remember I paid 2 or 3 dollars for it. Once it was in the water and swelled up it didn't even leak!
Cedar sides and a cross planked bottom.
Something like this without the mast, sail and centerboard.

Very cool! My eyes prefer highly polished, but my hands and wrists and elbows can appreciate the "bilge patina" more... post a run video and then get it into a boat, that would be fun

Wow, Ernie. Nice save !
It even has the priming cup and plug.
It never fails to thrill when a new find is made.
