I am new to this discussion board. Question about mounting a 1930 Palmer YT-1 in a Chesapeake Bay Crab Skiff. Can anyone tell me what Palmer recommends for the maximum mounting angle of the engine? The mounting is currently 15 degrees. Is this too acute? The answer is most likely in Dick Days YT-1 Manual, I had a copy and cannot locate the manual. Thank you for any information you can supply. |

I *believe* that 15 deg is the maximum recommended. When I dig up my manual I will email it to you. Post pics of your project we'd love to see it! |

OK I just found it and checked, it's 4" to the foot maximum angle. Hopefully you can translate that to degrees... EDIT - I found an online calculator and it shows 4" rise over 12" run to be just over 18 degrees... I'll email the manual to you now
