I found this old twin cylinder inboard engine 10 minutes away in a guys basement. He said it followed him around for years and came with him from Sweden. He said it has got to be 100 years old. Comes with carb-magneto-water pump-base-transmission(F/R)-and its sort of loose. It is not really my thing, but I could not leave without it at the negotiated price/offer as I was leaving. Any idea what I got into-again. A little history on the engine is that it came out of a freshwater boat in Lycksele, Sweden. He had no other information, photos, etc., Could it be a Svedala, Aldell, Sterling, VIM, a one of one, or some other engine maker? There are no identifying marks on any of the parts, and nothing has turned up, yet. Any ideas are always welcome as the search continues😊. |

It would be useful to have pictures from the other side, and where the magneto is attached. Many of the early engine makers used others as inspiration - not quite copying - so there might be clues. The aluminum crankcase is an unusual feature |
