Just picked up a 1940 Easthope 5HP HD that is on its way to a better life. After spending some time in Knight Inlet Cannery for ABC Packing Ltd, it was left abandoned on an Indian Reserve beach. I remember seeing it in my younger years for sale at Capital Iron in Victoria in the 1990s where the finder consigned it apparently. 25+ years later, I came across the current owner on the gulf islands who sold it to me. It's nearly complete but seen better days. I will need a new HD head for it. It came with (according to Joe - thanks for the information!) a 10-14 head but I'm not interested in creating a Frankenstein. If anyone has leads on an HD head, please let me know. Photos to follow once we figure out how to get it out of the back of the truck! |
