Chris, the model 41 used many Ford Model T parts, the carb is a Holley, looks like a Model T carb to me. These are usually on E-bay, Langs Model T parts may be another source. If you just want to run it for now any lawn mower carb you can adapt should do it. Do you have the manifold, a long pipe with an elbow, I've seen several of these fabricated from pipe. Mags can be repaired by a good mag man, you can find ads in the gas engine magazine or on Harry's Old Engine site. Does your engine have the Bosch mag or the Wico. I have a copy of an owners manual, can copy for you if it'll help. |

Do you have a picture of the engine that you could post. There are several collectors here in south Louisiana that may be able to help. |

I do not have a pic as of yet it is in Tennessee at my grandfathers. I can after the fourth when I go there on vaca. It has a Bosch mag and I do have the intake pipe with flanges on both ends. I would really love it if you could copy the manual for me. Thanks in advance. |

I'll put in a plug for a friend who is an excellent magneto tech, has a well equipped shop and an unbelievable stock of NOS parts. Has done several mag rebuilds for me, knows his stuff: BOB'S AUTO ELECTRIC, 6610 Cooper Spur Rd., Hood River, Oregon 97031. Phone 541-352-7440. He customarily opens a little late in the morning Pacific time. Good luck from a L-A 41 owner. |
