Here is a classic St Lawrence 3 port one cylinder marine engine for sale. For someone who enjoys the nostalgia of days gone by, this single cylinder engine will provide a great experience. Engine uses the two stroke principle, develops 3 HP at 900 RPM. It's high torque; piston diameter is 3 � ", stroke is 3 �". Engine is refurbished to running condition just needs a small open boat and a practical owner with basic skills to install the engine, perhaps a recent retiree looking to undertake a rewarding project. HI.. im a retired 70s small engine mechanic and never have seen one of these st lawrence engines..i have a chance to buy this one not running.. wondering on prices.. havent seen it in person yet other then this picture..hes asking 750.00 any thoughts? whats values on these old maring engines? thanks for any info..

I think $750 is a bit steep for an old engine ( which might be seized). At best, I'd say half of the asking - the engine is NOT a rare item - lots of them around - makes for easier rebuilds. BUT please get the serial number even if you do not buy it miro |
