Hi,

I have been looking for some information on an antique one cylinder engine and have created a post in the unknown engines discussion topic here: http://www.oldmarineengine.com/discus/messages/3454/277946.html

Please take a look and let me know if you can be of any help.

Thank you,

Stuart

What kind of information are you looking for ?
Do you plan to work on it to get it into running condition?
To do that you'll have to get that carb issue sorted out, and then make sure that your magneto is making good spark.
These engines are low compression engines and are easily started by hand - whole host of assumptions here, though.

If it has never been run, then the usual precautions of plenty of oil on moving parts especially the internals. You probably do not need to remove the head - use the spark plug hole to inspect the cylinder - a small LED or flashlight bulb connected to 2 AA cells should give you enough light inside.

There are lots of folks here that can step you though the details. But please give us some indication about what you'd like to do.

MIro
