I have a Roberts single cylinder engine that is a project for my grandson to restore. With my assistance of course. The biggest issue is the timer.
All other Roberts/Mullins, that I have seen, have a commutator/distributor style timer. This engine had a swing style. The original has been cobbled and are we looking for pictures to be able to replicate the correct timer. Any help appreciated,
Keith

Richard, that looks similar. Not sure about the exhaust but the front looks the same. Anyone out there have one with a similar timer. When going to the effort to make one it would be nice to do it correctly.

After studying you advertisements it appears to be a Model H.

I belatedly looked at the tag. Looks like it is a Model O. The appearance of the exhaust in the ads
had me confused. Andrew, will your book help?

Looks like with the help of Andrews site I am on the way to a solution. Charlie M has the identical engine and between the two can put two more oldies back in running condition.
