I have a Roberts single cylinder engine that is a project for my grandson to restore. With my assistance of course. The biggest issue is the timer. All other Roberts/Mullins, that I have seen, have a commutator/distributor style timer. This engine had a swing style. The original has been cobbled and are we looking for pictures to be able to replicate the correct timer. Any help appreciated, Keith |

Richard, that looks similar. Not sure about the exhaust but the front looks the same. Anyone out there have one with a similar timer. When going to the effort to make one it would be nice to do it correctly. Keith,

I belatedly looked at the tag. Looks like it is a Model O. The appearance of the exhaust in the ads had me confused. Andrew, will your book help? Keith,

Looks like with the help of Andrews site I am on the way to a solution. Charlie M has the identical engine and between the two can put two more oldies back in running condition. Keith |
