Hi Walt, I have a couple of them. one is actually all nichol plated and was salvaged from Keuka lake. One is badged Nichols and Wright and the other is just Wright with Buffalo as the city. One has Valveless script on the Flywheel face. try the Buffalo city directory from around 1905 or so. These may have been built in the Black Rock neighborhood. What do you have on the Valentine Marine engine Co.?? |

And absolutely no guards around the propeller! Those were the good old days! And not very long after the Wright Bros. first flew the Flyer so they jumped right on the engine technology. |

Aircraft thinking - no guards there, and people do walk into the spinning prop. |
