St Lawrence Engine

I purchased this engine on the past weekend in Lion's Head, Ontario. It is Serial # 6537. I have a few questions about it, it's a one cylinder, in great shape as you can tell by attached picture, I would like to get it running over the winter. How is the fuel mix for this motor. I got a shaft for this motor but no prop, what type of prop would be suitable for this motor. It grew up in NFLD with Acadia's and Atlantic's but would appreciate any advice on the St Lawrence Engine

When I run my 6-8 twin in my boat I use a 12x13 prop, the engine runs well but doesn't have the torque the Lockwood Ash motors have, my 4hp L-A runs a 14x14 and the 8hp can push a 13x18. The St. Lawrence is one of my favorite engines, always easy starting and runs all day at low speeds without loading up. I usually run a pint to 4 gallons.

Here is St Lawrence factory recommendation for propeller size.

Your engine is XA

Final choice is influenced by boat shape and boat displacement.
