Almost ready to align and place engine back into the boat. The coupler between clutch and prop shaft was very difficult to remove and I needed to cut it to remove. It was in very poor condition as the picture attest. Does anyone have one in good condition I can purchase? Or is it best to have another one made in an engineering shop? Thanks, John |

Agree cut off to protect shaft is best. For a donation the volunteer engineers at Sydney Heritage Fleet could produce a coupling probably in steel as you have a high torque motor. Pattern + casting or machine from cast iron stock also possible. James Craig Road Rozelle Bay. Best days Tuesday + Saturday. Ask for Ian, Tim, David or Andy. Need shaft to get bore size. |

John, Good advice and I will get there this Tuesday and chat to the guys. I also have a guy I know who can make a new one from Stainless Steel, but will go with the Sydney Heritage Fleet guys first. Would love to meet them. John |

Andy, thanks for steering me in the right direction. Meeting some of the team at the Sydney Heritage Fleet was great! I am please you gave me the big hint. I recommend all others in Sydney to become a member of the Sydney Heritage Fleet. Great resource and something anyone with a classic engine should support. Link here: http://www.shf.org.au/ John |
