The timer handle is wrong for a Watertown but to me it sort of looks like one. I think most of the Watertowns had valve type handle on the top end of the handle. Maybe Smith Elec Pic towards the bottom http://www.oldmarineengine.com/discus/messages/1/1173.html Where did you find the pic? |

* RB, Definitely a cool old photo ! The Smith electric engines 1903-05 and the same engine new company name Watertown in 1905-12 had 5 bolt heads! I agree with Ernie 1910 or earlier ! The 4 bolt head, timer handle, exhaust port(left side in this photo), rectangular name tag are clues ?? * |

The picture is an old post card that my buddy Fred Abbe, who lives on Cape Cod sent me. He has a wooden boat with an old Palmer in it and the boat in the picture looks just like his boat. Thanks for the info guys. Bob |
