Hello folks - just brought home the engine in the photos. Was told it is a Sloane but would like some confirmation of that.

The only references I have are in Wendel, pg. 269 and simple notation in Grayson's appendix.

Thanks

Bob Price

Bob,
It's really a "Baby" from Hubbard in Middletown/Portland, CT. (I Think)
Take a look in the "yellow book" under Hubbard page 237 Hubbard did make engine for other names. Dick Day has one with a different tag on it. There are pics on here somewhere. I can't remember the name.
Have a good one
E

by the way did you mean 469 in Wendels book?

OK - now that Ernie has made the identity, does anyone out there have any literature they could copy for me?

Bob,
I have a pic or 2 of Dick's for your missing ignitor parts. I will post them when I find them.

Bob,
The 1 pic I have is in the post that Richard brought up today about Fairbanks. It is a kind of poor pic. Dicks ignitor is loose in the cylinder and just sitting there "crosswize" I am sure I can get better pics when I am down at Calvert. Or if you are coming you can get them yourself. You ARE coming down RIGHT?

I have a piece of a Victor catalog. I'm posting the "Baby" page and a closeup of the engine itself. Did someone need the (Hubbard/Victor/....) itself?

Thanks Tom and Ernie - and yes I will be at Calvert come hell or high water.

Does the reference to FM mean that Hubbard made the engines for other companies?

Cheers

Bob
