Bruce Hall, my friend Russ Pokorny and I went to Accord, NY yesterday to see and ride in this magnificent old wooden boat. It was rescued from a barn where it had been for some 20+ years, it was filled with firewood and was under threat of being burned when Alan Bendelius saved it. There are only five or six of these left. Except for the new top and some wood replacement, it is as built 118 years ago. The bilges are dry, the monster old DC motor is almost silent and it glides through the water effortlessly leaving almost not wake.
