Hey guys, picked this up this AM in NH, am skeptical about flywheel.....is it correct? I know I have to pull the key and file down the "spot welds" UGH!!! Thanks |

* Mianus engines early models had round holes in their flywheels, they then went to 5 spoke flywheels and also had 6 spoke wheels, but I don't know what models or years used the six spoke ? an option sometime after 1913 I think? A 1913 flyer described the flywheel in question here with the finger grooves as a "Rim Start Flywheel" and also offered the more traditional sping recessed lever style which obiously they named their "Lever Start Flywheel ! The shape of the spokes, hub and flywheel in general indicate a Mianus flywheel ! * |
