My engine needed a timing tower. Have no idea what my 'extra' was originally used on. Any suggestions how I can secure the 'head?' for adjustment and to keep it from rotating with the shaft?

This type of head was often used on Gray single and twin engines. Possibly many others as well. I have one on a Buffalo twin and a Waterman twin. They are not original to these engines. Most of the ones that I have seen have a linkage to a notched control arm to keep the head from rotating. Roger. |

RogerD says "Nice control. I believe it probably controls the spark advance and throttle. The two hole piece at the top would be bolted to a boss cast into the engine head near the top. The shaft at the bottom likely drops into a precast receptacle." It's overall length is 11 in. Would add a lot of brass to an engine; wouldn't it! wayne |
