Hi Art, I have a Motorgo 4hp with engraving on the timer. Mine is a t-top timer(no points). That last letter in your serial no: should be a digit instead of an X. Send me a picture and I'll try to help identify it. Should you decide to part with it I'm interested. Audie

This is an ad from 1913.

Motorgo was the logo that Sears and Roebuck Co. put on the motors that they sold. Sears bought from many different engine makers over the years.

Could it be that a Lockwood Ash built timer (built for Sears and sold as Motogo) was installed on the American/Detroit/Caille engine? I see lots of Lockwood Ash timers on them.

I have a 1962 Eveinrude, 75 hp with a 10 amp generator. Does anyone know of a way, or has converted from a generator to an alternator with this type of outboard?

Thanks in advance
T.J.
