I am in desperate need of a needle valve for a 4 ball Kingston Carb for my Dispro engine Any help would be greatly appreciated With Thanks Norm |

This is so easy to make; I built one for my Kingston. Stick a brass rod into a drill press or even a small electric drill. Grind it to a point while it's rotating. Thread the other end and put on a nut or knob. Solder it or pin it in place. Easy |

The needle valve is a 1/4 in diameter rod with a fine thread. The thread is finer than a standard UNF 1/4 thread ( which is 1/4 - 28 tpi). I'd guess it is a 32 or 36 tpi thread. My engine is about 200 km north of here - other wise I'd measure it today for you. There are thread guages that will allow you to determine the exact tpi - most old engine guys / mechanics / machinists have at least one of these guages - see if you can find a "pal" locally and measure it. Otherwise, I expect to "visit" my engine in the next week or so, and I'll get you the details. miro |
