I have a 5 hp Acadia engine. It is in excellent condition other than the water jacket is cracked beyond repair. Looking for same. Would love to get it back in my 20ft motorboat and start chugging around the Bay of Exploit's, Notre Dame Bay,NL again. |

There are a lot more engines with bad cylinders than cylinders without engines. It may be repairable, see this thread for an idea of what can be accomplished. http://www.oldmarineengine.com/discus/messages/1/91556.html You have to decide the value of the motor and the cost of repairs. These motors show up for sale, just have to be sure it was used in fresh water, At one time you could have the foundry cast parts, don't think they are doing it any more, but it wouldn't hurt to ask. |

Hi black_islander. I'm organizing a make and break engine festival in Bonavista. I may know someone who can help you out with repairs. You can give me a ring at the Heritage Foundation. 1 888 739 1892 ext. 5! |
