I have an original REO Trollabout (inboard trolling motor kit), vintage about 1954. I'm trying to get some idea of what it might be worth. The kit is complete, in the original boxes - boxes have been scratched by cats, but everything else is in new condition. The motor has never been started. I'll post photos as soon as I get a chance to lay everything out.

I have a Reo Trollabout sales demo boat. Story is that it sunk and was fished out. It was them put in a shed, and after a few years given the the son of the shed's owner and he brought to TX. It was stored in a building near Lake Houston till the owner passed away. That is where these photos of it was taken. I hope to have it running "leak checked and fixed" and on the river near the first of the year

Doing what I can to confirm the story

Hello, do you still have this kit? I've been looking for one to put in my sailboat.

Thanks!

You might be better off with an electric drive.
Yes, it's not antique, but not noisy or smelly.
Sailing boats should be quiet and peaceful.
