i have a bridgeport motor MODEL 100 No 1048 says vapor patin in 1914. Im tring to rebuild not sure what size. Its a two cylinder i think its a 2 stroke have it completly torn apart. Need wiring and timing info. If anyone can help me i would be greatly thankful. I will try getting some pictures on. |

For a 2 cylinder , 2 stroke engine, you'll need to 2 coils.
I'll try to go back and find the links for the wiring of the timer and the coils.

thanks iv been tring to get info on this motor for a while no one seems to know what motor i have. do you by chance know if this one of the most rare bridgeport motors or not. the plugs on are not normal plugs. they are solid from top to bottom has insilator between brass threads and firing mecinusm. also an ear in sidewall of cylinder that works off the cam |

I don't think that an Identification of your Bridgeport is available just from the the number and model, if you post 4 side photos I can probably get you some info !if you have Trouble with posting photos-- click on my name at left for email address--- I'll size and post them !

Came out of a lake?
You might want to keep it immersed in fresh water and flush it periodically. Lake water can have odd effects at times. I've seen a large steam engine frame scab and crumble from lake exposure. Something in the chemistry of the water did it. Definitely pressure wash it or soda-blast it first to clean the crud off so the flushing action can reach the metal. |
