Hi, I've acquired this Straubel engine from a friend's neighbor and was wondering if you could tell me the year etc.? There is not much info on it around Also, I can't seem to find were a set of points would go to fire a buzz coil. It's an 8hp serial number 448. This has original paint and turns over with compression. It looks to be in very good shape and would take much to get it running. Thanks for your help in advance, John Here are some pictures of it. I have more but the uploader is giving me grief even though the files are below 100kb.

John, The contacts/points for the buzz coil should be at or in the collar at the bottom of the shaft behind the flywheel with the valve style handle. Loosen the handle to move the whole assembley to change the timing then tighten it to keep it set. By the way nice quick work! Here are a couple of before pics in case you don't have them. I have a couple more before pics if you want them let me know. Feel free to e-mail me your pics and I will upload them for you. Just click on my name to the left for my e-mail. Have fun with it Ernie
